HERSHBERGER, Vermont

Oxford – Vermont “Mont” Hershberger, 78, of Oxford, who was killed in a car-truck accident on US 51 Thursday was a native of Fountain County. Educated in the Veedersburg public schools, he moved from Fountain County to Rt 1, Cayuga in 1959 and Oxford in June 1973. He was married in 1924 to Cora C. Schumacher who survives. Mrs. Hershberger was a veteran of WWI in the Army. Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Pierce (Mildred) Holloway, Templeton; and three brothers, OL, New Richmond; Dorsey, Veedersburg; Murl, Van Wert, Ohio.  Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at Shipps-Konzelman Funeral Home, Oxford. Service there at 2 p.m. Monday, Rev. Larry McMillon officiating.  Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Also surviving are three granddaughters.
